Sometimes coatings are also used for aesthetic purposes when you want a super shiny surface to your inks. Our company provides two types of optional coatings on our custom printing brochure especially when using a glossy paper stock. We recommend either aqueous coating or varnish coating. In aqueous coating, like its name suggests, is of water-based solution. Aqueous coating is more environmentally friendly than other coatings and is used for an overall coating. On the other hand, a varnish coating is also essential for ink without pigment and it is applied mostly as an ink color on the press.
