Aside from positive personal qualities as entrepreneur, good planning and preparation are essential in setting up an enterprise. Of course, money and other valuable resources are needed in business, but without proper planning and adequate preparation, such resources may disappear. Such loss is unfortunate and unnecessary since it can be prevented.

Putting up a business enterprise is an investment. Even if you are just thinking of putting up a brochure design & printing shop for instance, it could take all your savings. As such it should take into serious consideration the criteria of good investment, like safety of the capital, stability of income and possibility of growth. Business is not really very risky-like speculation or gambling-if it is well studied, planned and managed.
